Steph BabyGoth - Feature Model #19 3/2013

Introducing Steph BabyGoth Alexander;

1- What inspired you to do modeling? Was there a point early in your life that sparked your interest?
Well when I was younger My sister and I would mess around with cameras, taking photos of each other. Then the older we got we continued and the better the pictures became. Then it made me realize I love doing this. I love modeling for a camera and I love taking photos. I love dressing up. My sister kinda inspired me to get into modeling. She helped me get more photogenic and later on I met this guy who was a photographer. We ran into each other in a store and he told me I looked amazing and my style was just spectacular. So I did photos with him and used the tips my sister gave me and became really good at modeling.

2- You have dark elements to your style, was there an event or moment that made you decide on your style?
I grew up listening and watching the old Marilyn Manson and his style was sooo unique and I wanted to become unique too. Not many people dress the way I do around here. But each and every year or month even I find something to add to my style to make it stand out.

3- Name some of your favorite music or bands?
I love Industrial music, Metal, Rock, or anything I can dance to. I love the old Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Mushroomhead, Eisenfunk, Stone Sour, Blutenel, Rammstein, FgFc820, Combichrist, Typo Negative, Anglespit.

4- Name some of your accomplishments or highlights of your career so far?
Well I'm Finally getting put onto sites, My dancing is getting more known. and It feels good to be able to do the things I enjoy doing.

5- Do you enjoy regular photoshoots? or ones where you get to play a character?
I love both. Ones where I can be myself and show off my uniqueness and I love dressing up at Alice in wonderland.

6- What other interest do you have besides modeling?
I love dancing. I do industrial dancing, And making new outfits.

Totengefluster - Vom Seelensterben

Totengefluster - three piece Symphonic BM band from Germany. Album: Vom Seelensterben. Die Prophezeiung is the first song, captivating and intriguing, a well thought out composition of excellent musicianship which leads us into Ein Traumgespinst, drummer Schattendorm is a superior blaster this is immediately noticeable, relentless from the first hits. Ein Monolog im Mondschein, vocals are high and engaging like early Behemoth or Mayhem, an ethereal atmosphere is created with different combinations of high and lows mix with eerie clean yet disturbing demonic chant like shouts. Gefrorene Tränen, many aspects of this track are reasons why I enjoy listening to good BM, the symphonic parts of this band are highlighted on this track and leads us into the next Vom Seelensterben, brutal, epic and destructive forces of sheer speed rip through the senses, very well executed. Der Pakt, by far my favorite track, memorable riffs and aggressive arrangements. I will be spinning this song for times to come. The overall production of this disc is excellent, all the instruments are balanced and well understood, turning up the volume at the highest levels does not take away but enhance the experience even more.  Blutsegen - Die strömende Erkenntnis, if you want to hear how awesome this drummer is go directly to this track, so many great dynamics are executed with precision speed its truly a splendor for your ears. Ein neuer Pfad, here we experience the magnificent sounds of the keyboards painting an elegant landscape to lead us into another macabre composition. Im Tau der toten Morgensonne an intense and perpetual trip through a dark world. The last track Ein Monolog im Mondschein (orchestral Version) * Bonustrack, one of the best musical arrangements I have heard- like an adventure through a dark mystical void, at almost 7 minutes long it is one hell of a bonus track. If you are looking to hear some true BM this is where you will find it. These are incredible musicians, considering there are only three- it is very admirable.

Mongrel - Reclamation

Pure intensity from the first song. Mongrel is a four piece band from Boston MA. This is their second full length album Reclamation. Bored to Death, is the first track on this album, very cool guitar riffs initiates this song. Great production. Pseudocide is short but sweet. Fuck off and Die, clear and to the point, this song sticks in mind right away, enjoying the vocal style of singer Jessica Sierra, this one is sure to be a favorite for fans worldwide. Zombies of War, aggressive guitar riffs are evident through out, great lyric content. The More I Bleed, this track reminds me of Otep, it is more driven, chunky guitar and massive chops. Tarnished Halo, loving the opening intro, we get a chance to hear the bass player Mich Maltais doing a memorable passage with a clean guitar part to compliment. C and a 1/2, now there's and interesting name for a track. Dual vocals in the chorus line will make this stay in your mind a humming away to this hard driven song. Crucifiction, Mike "Hoagie" Hogan (drums) are a highlight for this track plus some interesting solos to bring out the intensity. Revisionist, slightly different with a clean melody to bring us into another scope of musicianship. Mongrel has been creating their style of Hard Rock since 2003 and have a previous release Declamation EP from 2011. Wake up, once again the bass does some involved riffing, I like the production quality, I can understand every single note. The last track is No Gods No Masters, I feel this is a punk/rock anthem just by the raw feeling it creates, and is probably my favorite song of this entire album. Mongrel is a very active project and has done many live performances sharing the stage with the likes of Gwar, Shadows Fall, God Forbid, Vision of Disorder, etc. be sure to catch them live a show near you.

Ciwana - Feature Model #18 3/2013

Introducing Ciwana, model/dancer

1- What inspired you to do modelling? Was there a point early in your life that sparked your interest?
Since I can remember I liked to masquerade myself and to slip in and out of various roles. Moreover I always liked to take picture of myself. When I was 14 a photographer spotted me during a choir concert and since then we make nearly every year a new photoshooting together. But I never really got into modelling up until now. Because I had many other interests and I always considered myself a little too short for that. Just resonantly I started to get more and more attracted by the Goth scene, industrial dancing and its fashion. And luckily very high shoes are part of that fashion.

2- You have dark elements to your style, was there an event or moment that made you decide on your style?
The goth scene attracted me already for a long time. During my teenager years I experimented a little with it but never really got into it. About two years ago I meet my best friend who brought me into contact with the Goth scene again and especially with Industrial Dancing. Over the dancing I got “dragged” more and more into the Goth/Cyber Goth style.

3- Name some of your favorite music or bands?
There are so many and it really depends upon my mood what I like to listen too. However some of them are Distatix, Agonoize, Assemblage 23, V2A, Eisenfunk, Wynardtage, Grendel, Tactical Sekt, Zweifelhaft, Nachtmahr, ASP and Dimmu Borgia. But I also enjoy going to a classic concert from time to time or listen to Bob Marley on a nice relaxed day on the beach.

4- Name some of your accomplishments or highlights of your career so far?
I just got into industrial dancing and alternative modelling. My highlight so far would be to dance on stage for the Italian band Deuxvolt at their UK tour. I enjoyed it a lot and found some awesome new friends.

5- Do you enjoy regular photoshoots? or ones where you get to play a character?
I like to do both. But I love to mascaraed myself, so I guess I like it more when I get to play a character.

6- What other interest do you have besides modeling?
There are so many. =) Running, dancing, reading, photo and video editing, designing, traveling, baking,… I wish the days had 48 hours.

7- Are there any significant projects or events you are looking forward to in the coming months?
I am planning on doing a new dancing video over eastern. I finally got a better computer so that I can use better editing software. And I will also make at least one photo series in this month.

8- If someone is interested in hiring you (modelling agency, bands, producers, etc...) where is the best place to get a hold of you?

Or Facebook: Ciwana Black
I live at the moment in UK, but will be back in Germany in the summer

Psychara - Feature Model #17 3/2013

Happy to introduce everyone to Psychara, alternative model from the Netherlands.

1- What inspired you to do modeling? Was there a point early in your life that sparked your interest?
I wore this alternative style since I was 11 or 12 (well, very babygoth-y in the beginning ofc!) and photographers ask me to model for them when I was around 16, because they liked my style so much! c: So since then I'm doing modeling and photographers ask me to work with them or model stuff for companies!

2- You have dark elements to your style, was there an event or moment that made you decide on your style?
I grew up with the gothic metal music my dad listened to, and I always liked that music as well. I noticed the beautiful clothing they wore and I just absolutely adored it! Nothing really 'dark' happened to me, I'm just a regular girl with a unregular look! ^ 3^

3- Name some of your favorite music or bands?
I actually listen to a lot of kinds of genres. From metal to Drum and Bass, and industrial to even Celtic music.
I reeeaaally like Korn, but only their olskool work! Angelspit rocks too, such as Rob Zombie and I even like Lana Del Rey! Very varied music taste, yeah. c:

4- Name some of your accomplishments or highlights of your career so far?
Unfortunately, there aren't any alternative model agencies here in the Netherlands.. And at the moment, I'm way too busy with school to be full-time modelling..
I'm still in college, last year of the study Graphic Design. This September I will be moving out, to the other side of country to go to an Art school! Very excited.
Don't think I have accomplished very much yet, both in modelling or my work as an graphic designer/illustrator. My life just begun! ^ 3^

5- Do you enjoy regular photoshoots? or ones where you get to play a character?
I LOVE doing gore or fantasy themed shoots, because I can go even more crazy with that as in regular shoots! The most boring shoots are in my eyes shoots in studios. I prefer on location, I can do so much more with the environment on location.. I don't want to be a model who's just gonna stay there and be pretty, I love doing sick poses and work with the place I am at.

6- What other interest do you have besides modeling?
I love to illustrate and to party! I also really love animals and horror movies!

7- Are there any significant projects or events you are looking forward to in the coming months?
The Elf Fantasy Fair is coming up here! It's a fantasy event which is held every year here in the Netherlands. This time will be the 8th time I go there and I'm working on an epic faun costume!

8- If someone is interested in hiring you (modeling agency, bands, producers, etc..) where is the best place to get a hold of you?

I'm very active there and reply to every message there! Best way is to PM me there.
