Metal Music Midwest started back in 2013 Here are my thoughts

 This blog started back in 2013. I was very novice about blogging and it just seemed like another place to promote music. I use to call this blog Artemorbid reviews. I began by posting photos from concerts I attended but then quickly shifted to writing music reviews for heavy metal bands. The blog to me was a Fanzine but in a digital format.

Thru the first couple of years I began to work with other fanzines that were still doing print. AEA zine was one of the first. I would get cd's in exchange for a review.

In time I also started to do interviews for goth scene models.

Live Concert Experience with Cause Of My Affliction in Chicago

Cause Of My Affliction performing live:  at Illuminated Brew Works 6186 N Northwest Hwy, Chicago, IL 60631 I only took four pics for this event. I was just arriving from a long trip and most of my cameras were taken up with space from all the video and photos from my trip. The phone is all I had but I think the results were very good under the circumstances. Ilkim Oulanem - The Alarm

Released in 2008 "The Alarm" is a two song demo. A one woman BM band Ilkim Oulanem comes from Turkey, a unique thing since BM is dominated by males these days. The Alarm is three minutes long, I am impressed by the sound, it is very well produced and all the instruments hold their own ground not one detail missed. Hey Kukla, memorable riffs and great sounding bass, vocals are intense and you almost forget is only one person performing all of this.
