METALITALIA Festival 2019 first bands announcement

The Metalitalia.com Festival team – Metalitalia.com, Vertigo and Eagle Booking Live Promotion – is very proud to reveal the dates and the first confirmed acts of the 2019 edition of the festival, which will take place once again at the Live Music Club in Trezzo sull’Adda (Milan), Italy.

This time the event will take place over two days in spring: on Saturday 1st June and Sunday 2nd June.

We're still working on various other things behind the scenes which we'll bring to you in due course, including the side programme and of course the full line-up and day schedules. In the meantime, we're extremely happy to be adding some cool bands to the festival with this announcement.

DAY 1 – Saturday, 1st June

The headlining act of the first day of the festival will be Sweden's ARCH ENEMY! The Michael Amott led band, recently brought to the apex of his success by the charismatic singer Alissa White-Gluz is without a doubt one of the leaders of the modern thrash-death metal scene. ARCH ENEMY will be joined by Italian symohonic death metal masters FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, who are about to release a new and highly anticipated album. The band will perform with an impressive production in an exclusive show on Italian soil.
Never the most prolific of bands, nor the most well-known, nevertheless DARKANE have offered some of the most intelligent thrash-death metal throughout the years. For the occasion, the Swedish band will play their masterpiece "Rusted Angel" in its entirety!

DAY 2 – Sunday, 2nd June

The second day of the event will be fully dedicated to hard rock and classic metal. The bill will be topped by Swiss hard rockers GOTTHARD: the band boasts a big following in Italy and they will come down to Milan for a very special show. Co-headliners of this second day will be Sweden's HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, who are absolute masters at mixing sleaze, glam, metal and catchy choruses.
Finally, we are pround to announce another piece of metal and rock history: Phil Campbell, the legendary guitarist of MOTÖRHEAD, who shared the stage with Lemmy for 32 years, will join us for an an explosive show based on recent cuts from his new album under the PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS banner and many MOTÖRHEAD hits!

Sinnrs - Profound self released

A powerful and melodic landscape. The album Profound by Sinnrs was made available to the world via the bands Bandcamp site and it is worth listening to every track.

"Profound”  is the debut full-length from danish melodic black metal duo Sinnrs, which merges the furious brutality of extreme metal with the elegance of opera and classical music, offering a dimensional musical experience in pure dark matter. Transcending Obscurity release a fifty band label sampler for download

We're thrilled to put out our new free-for-download label sampler that features exactly 50 bands from all over. We've come a long way doing this from a small bedroom in Mumbai, India when the idea of doing this for a living seemed all too fanciful. After tons of rejections from both bands and potential customers, we're finally getting around to convince some of them that despite our geographical disadvantage, we can still do things in a significant manner. Circa 2019, we have two exclusive stores for US and Europe, in addition to ground distribution in two continents, while of course running our popular Bandcamp page and official store on our website. It's not been easy but we're not stopping any time soon. Please check out our new label sampler AT THIS LINK to get a glimpse into what's coming from our side this year.

We've also put out new merch to commemorate the same, staying true to our roots while continually transcending obscurity.

This is our most ambitious sampler yet. It includes many new signings that we've worked hard on and which we hope you will enjoy. These are but songs off some very good albums to serve as a microcosm for what's to come. It's going to be our biggest year without a shadow of doubt. Like before, it starts off with the focus on death metal and grind, then to some very selected black metal and lastly, slowing things down in style with some expansive doom metal from all over. Each band brings its own sound to the sampler, further enhancing the overall appeal of what we're striving to achieve with the label, working with variety and depth culled from the underground and taking it higher. The keyword here is 'emerge' and if any of these acts get better noticed after we're done with it, our purpose will have been achieved.

This is a pay-what-you-want compilation and any amount that is donated will be used towards the making of the upcoming hoodies and merch which has the fantastic front and back artwork exclusively created by the Italian designer View From The Coffin. We will also be looking forward to upgrading our packaging and offering more goodies with these artworks in the new year.

Black Therapy premiere new video "Dreaming"

After getting involved in a spree of live activities, the Rome based five-piece BLACK THERAPY have announced the release of their third album, Echoes of Dying Memories, slated for worldwide release on March 15th via Black Lion Records.

As the first taste of this album, the Italian melodic death metallers have offered a monumental video of the 04th number, Dreaming.

Informs the band: “We wanted the video for Dreaming to be very straight-forward and in-your-face and we think that Andrea from Dvision Zero really nailed it with his rapid editing. We already worked with him years ago and it felt pretty natural for us to ask him if he wanted to work on our new video clip. We hope everyone will enjoy the fast-pace of this video as much as we do!”

Onydia - The Unknown - lyric video released

Forged In Black signed to Fighter Records

Hello my wonderful readers, check out the latest news for the band Forged In Black

UK Heavy Metal act FORGED IN BLACK, have just inked a deal with Fighter Records for the worldwide release of their upcoming 2nd album "Descent of the Serpent", scheduled for 5th of March 2019.

 FORGED IN BLACK was born in 2013 after changing their monicker from MERCILESS FAIL (2007-2013). Their debut album "Forged in Black" was released that same year, being followed by three EP's: "The Tide" (2013), "Fear Reflecting Fear" (2016) and " Sinner Sanctorum" (2017). These releases got a great acceptation within the british Heavy Metal scene and paved the way for their 2nd full length album "Descent of the Serpent", recorded in 2018, again with producer Romesh Dodangoda, with cover art made by Dan Goldsworthy (ALESTORM, HELL, ACCEPT, etc.).

     The style of FORGED IN BLACK is a fresh, melodic and powerful Heavy Metal where you can find classic elements from british bands like IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST or ANGEL WITCH, with a slight dose of CANDLEMASS and hints of Thrash in the vein of bands like FLOTSAM & JETSAM, HEATHEN, METAL CHURCH... Once again, Canada’s molten cauldron of metal, its crucible of carnage, spews forth a new release from one of its fine bands, the splendidly named VANTABLACK WARSHIP. Formed by veterans of the Quebec metal scene (Arseniq33, Ghoulunatics, Brutal Chérie, Foreshadow, Les Ékorchés, Buffalo Theory Mtl), this Montreal quintet conjures up images of a neon black pirate ship come to wage a metal storm on an unsuspecting Earth.

Metal legend Tony Dolan, AKA The Demolition Man of Venom Inc. recently described VANTABLACK WARSHIP as a “Cool Slayer”.

The band's new album "Abrasive Pulmoic Speak" due out on January 26th, 2018 features eight tracks of just solid riffage from heavy hardcore speed demon ripping to sludgy down tunes all applied with dirty in your face vocals ready to destroy with its moshpit anthems. 

Guitarist Pat Gordon comments:

“Abrasive Pulmonic Speak”, the title of our album is a testimony to the harshness of our lyrics and music. They are pretty hardcore! But it also refers to the title track, which is based on the works of Henry Miller. He was expatriated for some of his earlier works that he put into print that at those times people never dared say out loud.  We are trying to channel that but from another an angle which is the stereotype that comes with metal music, which, quite frankly is tired. We have metalheads that are well into their 60s and 70s today. It’s annoying that people see us as a subculture when in fact we are a very legitimate culture.”

Teaming up with IDIOTEQ.com, VANTABLACK WARSHIP is sharing their next video "Another Dead Rockstar", a track lyrically written from a firsthand perspective by a female mixed martial arts fighter and her graphic accounts in the ring.

The band comments:

“Another Dead Rockstar is a term coined by the band to describe a certain breed of musician who continues to chase the dream of stardom but ends up sowing a path of disrepute and shame.”

Blood Cabana announces South west No Quarter Tour

Northern California metal band Blood Cabana, embarks on a eighteen day South West tour. Beginning Friday November 25th in Sacramento CA, celebrating the release of two new tracks 'Drift' and 'Black Dust' supporting their self-released EP 'Hell is Paradise' they will be paving new ground into Arizona and New Mexico.

The highlighted dates of the tour will be The Wasteland Warfest in Tempe AZ on December 2nd & 3rd, Club XS in Tucson AZ on December 6th with Arizona Blackened Death All-Stars Six Million Dead, and The Blacklight District Lounge in Long Beach on December 9th by ADHD Entertainment.
