Crowdead interview and release of their new EP

1- Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest. Our readers are excited to get to know you and your band. Could you give us a brief description of the group? Where is the band from?

Hi! Thank you for having us! We're Roberto (lead singer), Andrea (bassist), Stefano (drummer) and Matteo (guitarist), four people from Northern Italy with a strong passion for metal music. We started out as a band in 2017 and we have just released the second full-length album.

2- "Tearing Your Soul Apart" is the band's upcoming EP. How long did it take to compose and record it?

We spent around a year composing songs. As for the recording, it took us two weeks and the album was produced at Audiocore studio, near the city of Parma.

3- What musical influences inspire the band's compositions?

Well, we actually all have different tastes concerning our musical genre. Therefore, some of the bands that inspired and influenced us are Pantera, Sepultura, Machinehead, Lamb of God, Decapitated, and many, many more.

4- Can you tell us how did the members all meet?

All four of us didn't completely know each other before joining the band, since we met at different stages. Andrea started playing with Matteo in a previous band, and when it disbanded they decided to form a new one, which is the current band. Matteo came in contact with Stefano because the latter took care of the sound system at a local music festival and, because of his drumming skills, seemed perfect for the position he currently holds inside the band. Finally,

Roberto joined after the former singer left, thus completing the Crowdead you know today.

5- The new EP title is "Tearing Your Soul Apart". Tell us the details about the content and a more in-depth meaning to this title?

Each track expresses sadness and hate for this awful world and for this sick society of ours. With TYSA, and thanks to this cd, we want to show how sadness and all the most negative emotions came out, tearing the soul apart into pieces and trying to express as much as possible the pain that humans feel.

6- Are the current members of this band part of another band or project? Or is everyone dedicated solely to the group? How do you maintain a good balance working together?

Currently, Matteo is also a member of the hardcore metal band called Browbeat, while Roberto is the singer of Miara. As for maintaining a good balance, we try to do our best in everything we do and place great importance on teamwork. Also, the support of our fans is very important for us, and we are very grateful for it: thanks to them we try to improve ourselves every day and create new songs for them to enjoy.

7- Have you performed any shows in your area? If so, how receptive and supportive are the people of your music?

We have played all over Italy, from the north to the south. The public's response has always been warm everywhere, from the smaller to the bigger venues.

8- Are there any upcoming shows or tours you can tell us about?

We are planning a small tour in order to promote the new album, but we can't reveal anything else, it's a secret.

9- Thanks for your participation. Finally, what is the best way to get a hold of the group just in case someone wants to book or promote the band? Any final words?
