Praise The Sun exclusive interview and New Music

1- Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest. Our readers are excited to get to know you and your band. Could you give us a brief description of the group? Where is the band from?

We are a metal band formed in 2019 in Warsaw, Poland.

2- "Alterego" is the band's upcoming single. How long did it take to compose and record it?

"Alterego" was a project that took some time to come together. First riffs were recorded 2 years ago then it went through several phases of composition and refinement before we hit the recording studio. The recording process itself was spread over a few months to ensure we achieved the sound and quality we wanted for this track

3- What musical influences inspire the band's compositions?

Our music draws inspiration from a wide range of musical influences within the metal genre. Bands like for example Lamb of God or In Flames have been inspirations for us to some level. We also incorporate elements from other musical styles and experiences from our own lives to create a unique sound.

4- Can you tell us how did the members all meet?

That’s a long story actually. The whole band (which was a cover band as the beginning) was started by Daniel, our rhythm guitarist and Wojtas, previous drummer, then Mateusz joined with an idea of creating our own music, songs. After some time Konrad (bass) joined a team, and not long after him, Marcelina (vocal). Last year Wojtas decided to finish cooperation with us, so Egor (drums) joined the band. We shared a passion for metal music and decided to form Praise the Sun.

5- The new song title is "Alterego". Tell us the details about the content and a more in-depth meaning to this title?

"Alterego" is a song that delves into the concept of inner duality. It explores the idea that we have different sides to our personalities. The title "Alterego" signifies inner alter ego or the hidden facets of our identities.

6- Are the current members of this band part of another band or project? Or is everyone dedicated solely to the group? How do you maintain a good balance working together?

Currently, only Egor (drummer) is a member of another band - LeFort, rest of the members are fully dedicated to Praise the Sun, so it's relatively easy to keep the balance

7- Have you performed any shows in your area? If so, how receptive and supportive are the people of your music?

Yes, we are performing in Poland regulary, we recently finished the tour promoting our first full album - The Proffer of Light. Each show is different, of course, but the metal community has been incredibly supportive

8- Are there any upcoming shows or tours you can tell us about?

The next concert will be played on 20.10 in Elblag in the club Mjazzga on the occasion of as a part of the Darklander tour of the band - The Materia.
