1- Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for taking the time to do the interview, could you give our readers a brief description of Self-Deceiver? Where is the band from? Hello, and thank you for the invitation. Self-Deceiver is a metal band that can be characterized as blackened melodic death metal from Bogotá, Colombia. Self-Deceiver was created to write the music we like without genre boundaries or stupid rules.   2- Across the Styx is the band's debut full album, how long did it take to write? Across The Styx was written over a period of approximately 10 years, starting in 2012 when we began rehearsing and composing the first songs, including the song that gives the album its title. The band has gone through several periods of inactivity and we have even moved to a different country. Hello there and welcome. I'm also grateful for that opportunity. Here's Sebastian 'MetalKing' Nawój, leader of Hellset band and guitarist. Our band counts 4 people: me, the guitarist. There is also: Jan 'Beliar' Hawajski - second guitarist and vocalist in one person, Jagoda 'Haneryu' Piórkowska - bass guitarist (girl) and Mikołaj 'Miki' Piskorowski - the drummer. Steal My Hope is a one man´s instrumental project from Finland. The main line is melodic metal, but you can probably hear many different metal/heavy/rock genres in Steal My Hope´s music. 2- The Battle Within is the band's second full album, how long did it take to write? It took about two years in total. I´ve composed, recorded, programmed and mixed both albums, so it takes a while. 3- What musical influence inspires the band's compositions? Any good music inspires, no matter what the genre is. Thanks for having us! We are a death metal band from Seattle, WA. We have myself (Martin McDonagh) that does the lyrics and vocals and Erick Goin that is primarily a guitarist but also took care of the other instruments on the album and mixed and mastered the whole thing. 2- The Faults of Our Kind is the band's debut album, how long did it take to write? Some of the songs are much older, nearly 10 years old at this point. But when we came together to write the remainder of the album, I think it took maybe half a year for us. The longer parts came in the production side. Since it was just Erick handling it, and both of us being the perfectionists we are, there was a lot of tweaking that happened. Eric : We come from Reunion Island a little French overseas county in Indian Ocean… We are a power trio with Gurvan (drums), Micha (bass) and me (vocals and guitars). 2- Perseverance of Sickness is the band's debut album, how long did it take to write? Eric: With Gurvan, we started to compose our first songs in late 2019. The composing was finished in late 2020 I would say. But during 2021 we decided to make a lot of demos to prepare every details of each songs as we can before entering the studio. Thank you for having me in the powerful Metal Music Midwest. I'm Max, founder of Grandiosa Muerte. In the shape of Hermes the band was born in Heredia, Costa Rica, as a personal need to exorcize myself from mental and spiritual struggles amplified during the pandemic With over 25 years of experience as a Metal musician and 15 years as a producer in the Metal and Rock genres, I realized it was time for my solo project.
