Bridge Of Souls exclusive interview
Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for taking the time to do the interview, could you give our readers a brief description of the group? Where is the band from?
Bridge of Souls is a Modern Metal / metalcore band from Nancy ( FR ) Characterized by a great musical versatility, the group offers a rich and varied music, with sharp guitars, powerful drums and bass, but also by the beauty of the keyboard as well as the diversity and quality of the singers.
2- "Iris" is the band's new album, how long did it take to write?
We worked on this album for 2 years. The covid stopped us in 2020 and we took advantage of being at home to compose.
3- What musical influence inspires the bands compositions?
The inspiration comes from multiple musical universes but if we have to stop on a few groups: Periphery, Imminence, Crown the empire, Ice nine kills
4- Can you tells us how did you all meet?
We met in a bar that organized Jam, we loved make music together so we started BRIDGE OF SOULS
5- The new album title is “Iris”, can you give us details about the content and more in depth meaning to this title?
Iris is the messenger goddess of the Greek gods allowing the connection between gods and humans. But the iris is also the circular and colored part of the human eyes through which it receives information from what surrounds us.
In this album, we put ourselves in the place of our goddess to explore the human soul.
Human is on the center of our lyrics and we describe these states of mind, their behavior and the consequences of their actions.
We talk about soul in pain, abandonment, depression, self-search but also about the state of the world in which we live. It's a rather dark album but which always leaves a hint of hope and redemption.
6- Each member of this project is part of another band, how do you maintain a good balance working together?
Sometimes it’s really hard when all guys need to practice for their other bands but we learned to practice, compose and organize by webcam. We work a lot at home and we do some rehearsal to fix the detail together.
7- Have you performed any shows in your area? if so, how receptive and supportive are the people to your music?
We did a lot of gigs when we released our "overcome" EP but, again, the covid slowed us down. But the audience was very receptive to our music so far!
8- Are there any upcoming shows or tours you can tell us about?
We are doing our release party for the album on November 4th. Otherwise, we're working to do other dates and festivals. Nothing is official yet but a tour in 2023 is not impossible.
9- Thanks for your participation, finally, what is the best way to get a hold of the band, in case someone wants to book or promote the band? Any final words?
