Infection Code exclusive interview
Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for taking the time to do the interview, could you give our readers a brief description of the group? Where is the band from?
First up thanks a lot for the chance and hello to all readers of Metal Music Midwest. We are from Italy and we formed in 1999. Our goal was to make some sxtreme music with our most musical taste as Industrial thrash metal, hardcore and death metyal. We love band as Ministry, Godflesh, Neurosis, Carcass, Red Harvest, early Fear Factory and many others. We have done eight albums and three EP and one Splt album. We had some line up changes during these years. This year we we asre out with our new album called “Alea Iacta Est” for Argonauta Records and promote for Groand Siund Booking.
Alea Iacta Est is our new album and we have employed two yerars to write an record it. Durung the lockdown we were forced to stay at home without to meet us and to rehearse. Anyway Alea Iacta Est is born. We have used the files and some recotrding sessions in our self home recording studios and finally, when the lockdown finished, we have rehearse the new song for many weeks. Then we have started the recording sessions at the Cat’s Cage Studios in Autumn 2021 and in two weeks we have finished the recording sessions.
What musical influence inspires the band's compositions?
We love some musical genres but in we think Alea Iacta est is the most extreme and aggressive albumwe have written. You can listen to many influences as death metal, industrial and modern thrash metal. Recently we have listened to Ministry, Meshuggah, Behemoth, Wormrot and Napalm Death stuff.
The group started in 1999, can you tell us how did you all meet?
During these years we had some line up changes. Ricky and me are the original members. We met during an underground metal gig and we were both interested to make a new band because we have palyed ina previous bands at those time we were bored with our band. So we have taken the decision to make a new band. This is the way about the creation of the band.
The new album title is Alea Iacta Est, can you give us details about the content and more in-depth meaning of this title?
Alea Iacta Est is the sentence pronunced by Julius Ceaser but we want give to it another meaning. It’s a personal and intimate meaning. To describeour life during a particular moment. Until two years ago, have happened many sad events in our life and the title can describe a deep line to put on the end at these sad events.
Each member of this project is part of another band, how do you maintain a good balance working together?
No we are all in Infection Code only. No one else take part in others band.
Have you performed any shows in your area? if so, how receptive and supportive are the people to your music?
Actually we have performed only three show with the new line up and to promote the album and the feedback was good from the crowd. Many people are supporting the band to buy the cd or t shirt during the gig or to share our music in the social network.
Are there any upcoming shows or tours you can tell us about?
Yes we are arranging some next gigs and probably for the next yeara little tour in East Europe, but about this, we must define some things.
Thanks for your participation, finally, what is the best way to get a hold of the band, in case someone wants to book or promote the band?
Thanks for your support and thanks to share our music and our infection. Well, to book the band for a show you can get in touch via email: (eyehategod75@gmail.com) , to write to Argonauta Records or to visi tour social network as Facebook or Istagram.
