BLACK MAGNET: Industrial Metal Act Confirms Three week US tour

Oklahoma City-based industrial metal outfit BLACK MAGNET has confirmed a three-week US tour this March. The Violent Mechanix Tour will run from March 1st through the 19th, BLACK MAGNET will be touring alongside King Yosef.

BLACK MAGNET will be supporting the band’s second LP, Body Prophecy, which saw release through 20 Buck Spin in July and was touted as one of the top industrial releases of the year. James Hammontree welds the frenetic vitality of post-punk and metal energy with driving synthetic club beats, factory force physicality, and alluringly stark melodic pulses. For all its harsher, scraping atmospheres and pummeling aggression, Body Prophecy always remains an eminently tight, memorable album molded for the stage and constructed to keep bodies in motion and listeners transfixed.

Body Prophecy was engineered and mixed by Sanford Parker at Hypercube Studios (Youth Code, Statiqbloom, Bloodyminded), mastered by Colin Jordan at the Boiler Room (Ministry, Pigface, Eyehategod). The record features artwork by Jesse Draxler (Nine Inch Nails, Ghostmane, H09909), photos by Johnny Bohlen, and a completely re-imagined and extended club style remix by scene legend Justin K. Broadrick (Godflesh, Zonal, Jesu).

While mastermind James Hammontree performs all instrumentation in the studio, the BLACK MAGNET lineup is embodied on stage with Ryne Bratcher on guitar, Eric Goreman on synth, and Jared Branson on drums.
