Exclusive interview with Panzekrieg 666

Hello readers, today we are featuring Panzerkrieg 666.

1- Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for taking the time to do the interview, could you give our readers a brief description of the group?

Where is the band from?

First of all thank you for the interview. We are a black metal band from Northrhine-Westphalia in Germany.

We play blastbeat Black Metal in the style of Marduk. If you like old Marduk or the Panzerdivision album you´ll like what we´re doing.

2- Panzerkrieg 666 is the band's debut EP, how long did it take to write?

It's quite funny that we started Panzerkrieg 666 in a messenger conversation. We just said it would be cool to do black metal.

The next weekend I had 4 tracks in my email inbox. A week later we recorded vocals. The debut EP was a very spontaneous affair.

3- What musical influence inspires the bands compositions?

Hard to say. Marduk is definitely one of them. Bands were mentioned in reviews of our EP that we had never heard of. Pretty interesting.

We just do our thing. It just happens by itself.

4- The band started in 2021, can you tells us how did you all meet?

We've been friends for years. We also played together in in 2 other death metal bands before, one of them still being active.

5- The album title is Panzerkrieg 666, can you give us details about the content and more in depth meaning to this title?

Panzerkrieg means "tank war" in English. It is inevitably clear that we are dealing with war in all its facets. So far, the name is well remembered by German listeners.

Also, we found that the name is actually pronounced quite well by Americans for example, which is quite entertaining for us. In any case, it is well received, which of course makes us happy.

6- Each member of this project is part of another band, how do you maintain a good balance working together?

Since the Corona Pandemic, we have been more creative than we have been for a long time. This created Panzerkrieg 666. At the moment we don't consider our projects as work.

It's just fun for us. In this respect, it is more of a good balance to the normal working day.

7- Have you performed any shows in your area? if so, how receptive and supportive are the people to your music?

We've been playing in death metal bands for 20 years. We haven't played live with Panzerkrieg 666 yet. This will definitely be interesting.

In the German underground it's rather unusual for black metal and death metal bands to play together. We ourselves are very curious about the reactions.

8- Are there any upcoming shows or tours you can tell us about?

Not yet. We'll try out a live drummer and then we'll see. But we definitely want to play live.

9- Thanks for your participation, finally, what is the best way to get a hold of the band, in case someone wants to book or promote the band?

Any final words?
