End of 2022 and thanks for all the great interviews Happy New Year

Special thanks to all the bands that parcipated in the interviews this year. I met so many great musicians from all over the world and they shared their unique experiences in a post-pandemedic world. Special thanks to The Metallist PR for his contacts and contribution to the blog here. Also GrandSounds for pointing me in the right direction finding meany metal bands. I am grateful. Moving forward I will make an attempt to write more personal blog post like this one and hope you might be interested in hearing about my day to day struggle to come up with content for not only this web page but a few others. There will be more promos and photos coming up this year. I will also reach out to several people and try to get in as a guest writer to their sites and gain a some more viewership. Thank you all if you ever made a comment or shared my interviews or pictures. It sure is an exciting time and certainly 2023 will be amazing and welcoming as this past year was. RIGOR SARDONICOUS premiere new track at NoCleanSinging.com

Today, apocalyptic doom cult Rigor Sardonicous premiere the new track " Caelum Ardere Vidistis " at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track is the second to be revealed from the band's long-awaited seventh album, Praeparet Bellum, set for international release on January 23rd, 2023 via Memento Mori. Hear Rigor Sardonicous' "Caelum Ardere Vidistis" in its entirety exclusively HERE. True purveyors of aural torment, Rigor Sardonicous are one of the cultest bands of the American death metal underground. Formed in 1988, the long-standing duo of bassist Glenn Hampton and vocalist/guitarist Joseph Fogarazzo remain one of the darkest and creepiest bands calling "death metal" home. Aided by their ever-trustworthy drum-machine, Rigor Sardonicous are utterly lifeless and excruciatingly slow, almost daring the listener to find any "fun" in their all-devouring void of inertia. You could almost qualify their music(k) as doom-death,

Iron Asparagus exclusive interview

1-Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for taking the time to do the interview, could you give our readers a brief description of the group? Where is the band from?     The origin of the band name. An iron asparagus was a spear used by some sedentary tribes. The iron tip, reminiscent of the head of an asparagus, was carved to cause more damage in close combat than a traditional spear.    History of the band:  At first, Iron was a way for me to spit my riffs while drinking beer. With several liters of hops, songs formed. Good enough for me to offer them some serious work. My relatives started humming them. The time came to get some of them out of my head, to make space for others. I contacted a good drummer and I have a friend who plays like an ace, he did the solos. I did the rhythm and the bass. To be honest, I was thinking of going back to work until the next EP. But the songs are well received, so we're going to work on bringing it all to the stage. Firs

Metal Music Midwest started back in 2013 Here are my thoughts

This blog started back in 2013. I was very novice about blogging and it just seemed like another place to promote music. I use to call this blog Artemorbid reviews. I began by posting photos from concerts I attended but then quickly shifted to writing music reviews for heavy metal bands. The blog to me was a Fanzine but in a digital format. Thru the first couple of years I began to work with other fanzines that were still doing print. AEA zine was one of the first. I would get cd's in exchange for a review. In time I also started to do interviews for goth scene models.
