Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for taking the time to do the interview, could you give our readers a brief description of the group?   Two basses and a drum machine. No Guitar, No BS. MADE IN CHICAGO Where is the band from?   Karen: We’re based out of Chicago, Illinois   What musical influence inspires the band's compositions? Ivan: We listen to a lot of records on the road. Just recently we were listening to Lou Reed ‘Rock n’ Roll Animal’. There’s not one style of music that we draw influences on. You can hear everything from 1960’s teenage tragedy songs like ‘Leader of the Pack’ to modern pop music, lately we've been listening to a lot of the Swans, Godflesh and Devin Townsend to name a few. The group started in 2019, can you tell us how did you meet? Karen: Ivan and I were friends for quite a while. We actually played in the same band, just at different times. We both knew we were serious about music and due to a series of unfortunate events w

Earsplit PR just sent news and are very excited to announce Evenfall Of The Apocalypse LP From Portland Death Metal Outfit Ascended Dead Nears May Release On 20 Buck Spin. Stream the new track below. Read on!!    “Inverted Ascension” is the incinerating new track from Portland, Oregon-based death metal collective ASCENDED DEAD. The song is the latest precursor of the band’s impending second LP, Evenfall Of The Apocalypse, which is nearing release on 20 Buck Spin.   ASCENDED DEAD returns like abyss winds surging skyward from the ninth circle of Hell. Their first new album since 2017, Evenfall Of The Apocalypse, heralds the dawn of the final march to extermination via barely controlled death metal chaos and form-destroying necromancy.   Uniting guitarist/vocalist Jon Reider, guitarist Ian Lawrence, bassist Kevin Schreutelkamp, and drummer Charlie Koryn, ASCENDED DEAD plays death metal the ancient way with an intrinsically malign pedigree and methodical cruelty scarcely heard nowadays. Dyoxidon exclusive interview

1-Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for taking the time to do the interview, could you give our readers a brief description of the project? Where is it from? Hello, thank you for the interview opportunity. Dyoxidon is an industrial black/death metal project, whose origins begin roughly in 2009. The aim was to fuse black and death metal with industrial and harsh electronics, in a way that had not previously been done before. Currently, Dyoxidon consists of myself, Host_Revenant, writing all the music and recording it. To date, Dyoxidon has officially released two full-length albums and an EP. Dyoxidon has origins in both Colorado and Wisconsin. I am originally from Milwaukee, but much of the original, raw demo songs were composed in Colorado after moving there as a teenager. Eventually I relocated back to Wisconsin in 2015 and recorded a demo while there, but now I reside in Colorado again. All official Dyoxidon releases have been recorded in Colorado. 2- “The

We are an extreme metal band from Tyrol, Austria, currently promoting our latest and fourth full length album Pyrogenesis, which is out now through MDD records.   2- “Pyrogenesis” is your upcoming LP, how long did it take to compose it? There is no simple answer, because Pyrogenesis contains material and ideas, which have been around for years. However, the most consolidated effort of composing and recording took place between 2019 and 2021.  3- What musical influences inspired the songwriting? All songwriters in the band share a passion for heavy guitar-based music but that’s about it as far as common denominators in our influences go. We have a very divers situation in the band, which I think is an advantage and you can hear it too. There are no specific influences one could point to and say: that’s what w

1-Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for  taking the time to do the interview, could you give our readers a brief  description of the band? Where is it from? Hi everyone, I am Andy, the guitar player of Deimos’ Dawn. Many  thanks for that interview, I will give my best to answer your questions.  We are a German Thrash Metal band, located in Berlin. Everyone of  us is in the business since decades, mostly known our singer Marc  Grewe as former front man of the German Death Metal band Morgoth. We play a mixture of classic and modern Thrash, but clearly, we have  our roots in the classic albums of bands like Slayer, Sodom, Kreator or  Sepultura. 2- “Anthem Of The Lost” is your upcoming LP, how long did it take to  compose it? We wrote the first song during an instrumental session in 2017. That  was a song later called “The 4th Wall”. At that point we have not  decided to form a band, it was just a session among friends. But it felt  that damn good, that we decided
