Exclusive interview with Spektrvm

Image
Greetings and please give a warm welcome to Spektrvm 1- Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for taking the time to do the interview, could you give our readers a brief description of the group? Where is the band from? The music of Greek metal group Spektrvm (pronounced ‘Spectrum’) spreads wide across the chromatic political, religious and many other themes. We are 5 different people, with 5 different musical tastes, and that always makes it interesting to see where the mix of ideas and styles will take us.   2- "Blood For Heaven" is the band's first full album, how long did it take to write? Ideas for the album had been forming since the early days it was formed back in 2016, but when we actually decided to write songs and create an almost concept album, the first half took about a year to form, and the other 5 songs, a little less than that. The songs were being tweaked up until the day of their final recording in 2020. Some changes were even made...

To my readers please give a warm welcome to Kargyr 1- Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for taking the time to do the  interview, could you give our readers a brief description of the group? Where is the band from? Hello, thank you very much for having us! Kargyr is a one-band progressive death metal band  born in Lyon, FR in 2020. The aim of Kargyr is to mix heavy distorted guitars and headbanging  riffs, typical of metal with eastern harmonies and influences. My ultimate goal is to make the  listeners’ ears travel and their head bang! 2- "Kargyr" is the band's first EP, how long did it take to write? Kargyr took about 2 years to write, I set out in 2020 to make a complete record by myself. That  encompasses the writing, recording, mixing and mastering processes. Technically back in 2020 I  already knew how to play drums / guitars / bass and I starter taking specific vocal lessons in  order to be able to scream properly...

To my readers, please give a warm welcome to Stratuz 1-   Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for taking the time to do the interview, could you give our readers a brief description of the group? Where is the band from? Hello, very grateful for the space you give us in your blog. Stratuz is a band that goes from Death Metal to Doom with symphonic and atmospheric elements, we would say it's more of a conceptual band that allows itself to write according to the theme of its songs, without limiting itself to a specific genre. This freedom allows to enrich the compositions even more, however, there is a line that unites all the compositions. We are from Caracas, Venezuela. 2- "In Nomine…" is the band's first full album, how long did it take to write? In Nomine... is a compilation of songs written between 1986 and 1993 and published at the beginning of 1994, this album was released as a Split-CD due to the space available in the format, which we too...

Hello readers, today we are featuring Panzerkrieg 666. 1- Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for taking the time to do the interview, could you give our readers a brief description of the group? Where is the band from? First of all thank you for the interview. We are a black metal band from Northrhine-Westphalia in Germany. We play blastbeat Black Metal in the style of Marduk. If you like old Marduk or the Panzerdivision album you´ll like what we´re doing. 2- Panzerkrieg 666 is the band's debut EP, how long did it take to write? It's quite funny that we started Panzerkrieg 666 in a messenger conversation. We just said it would be cool to do black metal. The next weekend I had 4 tracks in my email inbox. A week later we recorded vocals. The debut EP was a very spontaneous affair. 3- What musical influence inspires the bands compositions? Hard to say. Marduk is definitely one of them. Bands were mentioned in reviews of our EP that we had never heard of. P...

Leslie Ripp Exclusive interview

To my readers please give a warm welcome to the band Leslie Ripp 1- Hello and welcome to Metal Music Midwest, first off, thanks for taking the time to do the interview, could you give our readers a brief description of the group? Leslie Ripp here, and thanks for this opportunity. Although I'm probably more known for being the guitarist for the metal band Rat Attack, back in 1983, I've long since gone solo. The music that I produce now, is strictly instrumental rock/metal guitar showcase type stuff like Satriani, or Vai. Having the luxury of also being a multi-instrumentalist, I'm able to record everything myself in the comfort of my home studio. Where is the band from?   I have always lived and worked out of my hometown, Honolulu, Hawaii and still do, to this day. 2- "The Riddle of Steel" is your most recent full album; how long did it take to write? Consisting of ten original tracks, I'd say it took around four months to compose all the parts, and then anothe...

Where is the band from? Hello! Its we who should thank you. We are Krilloan and we play high-octane, full speed, power metal - straight from the heart! Our sound is rooted in the harder type of powermetal of the ninties based on guitars rather than keyboards. The group is a international one and its based around me (Klas Holmgren) in Sweden. I write the basic structures for the songs and play the rhythm guitars. Then we have Steve Brockmann in Germany that handles the lead guitars, Alex VanTrue in Portugal on vocals, Marco Toba in Argentina that plays bass and then David Lanas from Ecuador on drums. So you can say that we are everywhere 😊 2- "Stories Of Times Forgotten" is the band's first release, a  EP with 5 tracks.  How long did it take to writ...
