4 Doors To Death - Cemetery Filth, Ectovoid, Sabbatory and Trenchrot
4 Doors To Death is a four way split featuring the bands Cemetery Filth, Ectovoid, Sabbatory and Trenchrot. Genre death metal, brutal dm/old school.
4 Doors To Death to be released on Unspeakable Axe Records February 19, 2016. The overall thought after listening to this in its entirety would be, destructive and powerful. Putting these four bands in one place is a devastating formula of chaos.
Cemetery Filth kicks things of with their brand of old school vibes and evil vocalizations. Memorable riffs and raw sound. Think of bands like Grave, Sinister, Death and early Morbid Angel. They have three songs on here. Cosmic Wraiths would have to be my favorite. Intense and crushing feelings.
Ectovoid is next. Having seen them live near my area a few months ago, I had a good idea of what to expect. The demonic forces of havok are raised. The vocals are low and cryptic. The riffs are mid paced with a dirty sludge type of distortion which fits perfectly with all the chaos being projected. They have two tracks on this release.
Sabbatory is up next. The old school roots are felt immediately upon lending my ears to this. I am reminded of bands like Gorefest, Immolation, Death and Grave. Powerful riffs and vocals the can rip out your spine. They have two tracks on here. "Primordial", would be my favorite.
Finally, we have TrenchRot completing the last door. Chaotic and punishing on every riffs. Heavy reverbed and devilish vocalization with spine breaking solos. they get three tracks on this release. "Hell Pilots' Call", I would say is my favorite, the dirty slow chords that encompass the intro really make you feel like the old 1990s death metal days again, raw low tuned and powerful.
In conclusion, four behemoths stomping through the underground with their crushing raw death metal, it does not get much better than this. Be sure to check out this release once it becomes available at the link below, if you love the old school death metal, then seek no further.
